Professor Li Xi of Macao City University gave lectures online for our college

On November 26, 2021, Li Xi, executive vice president, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of International Tourism and Management, City University of Macau, was invited to give an online academic lecture entitled Geographical Indication Product Involvement and Responsible Environmental Behavior of Tourists to our institute. The lecture was chaired by Dr. Xiao Gang, and more than 30 teachers and students, including Director of Liu Dejun, Professor Li Wenming, Dr. Li Zhicheng, Dr. Lin Wenkai, Dr. Chen Dongjun, and undergraduates and postgraduates from 2019 to 2021, attended the lecture online.

Professor Li Xi focuses on the topic of the mechanism of geographical indication products involvement influencing the responsible behavior of tourists. He explained why to pay attention to responsible environmental behavior, and the influencing factors of responsible environmental behavior mainly include environmental attitude, man-land relationship and experience quality. Then, from the aspects of time and space of tourism experience, he analyzed the relationship between each link of tourism behavior process and responsible environmental behavior. Then, he focuses on the analysis of the types and impact mechanism of geographical indication products. Finally, taking Hangzhou West Lake Longjing tea as an example, he analyzed the mechanism of geographical indication product involvement influencing the responsible behavior of tourists.

After the lecture, Vice-President Hu Haisheng and Executive Vice-President Li Xi explored further cooperation between schools. Vice President Hu Haisheng put forward the cooperation on academic research, joint declaration of subject and joint training of student. President Li immediately said that the College of International Tourism and Management of Macao City University is very willing to carry out joint academic research, joint declaration of subject, and exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students and recommended postgraduate with our institute. This online communication further promoted the in-depth cooperation between the two institutes. It also promoted the international development of academic and personnel training in our institute.
