​On July 16,2022, the 5th National College Students' Territorial Space Planning Skills Competition was successfully held in South China Agricultural University.197 teams from 92 universities across the country participated in the competition, and 80 outstanding works and 60 works in the final competition were selected after the preliminary competition. Our land resource management level 2020 undergraduates all the art, TaoAnDong, Liu Chengxi, Chen Liqiong jointly complete the plow brigade integration to promote the revitalization of urban and rural integration development —— Jiujiang city chang county three branch port town ridge east village planning in many works, won the first prize in the competition, instructor professor Li Hongyi, Dan Chenglong professor named excellent guidance teacher.

The competition is co-sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of University Public Administration Discipline of the Ministry of Education, the National Joint Conference of The Dean (Department Dean), and the Land Planning Branch of China Land Society, Jointly organized by the School of Public Administration of South China Agricultural University, Guangdong Land Society, Guangdong Association of Surveying and Mapping, Guangdong Institute of Land System and Rural Revitalization, South China Key Laboratory of Tropical and Subtropical Natural Resources Monitoring, Ministry of Natural Resources, Co-organized by Beijing Century Guoyuan Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Cultivated Land Planning Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Dongtu Planning Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Zhongdi Land Real Estate Appraisal and Planning and Design Co., Ltd., It is the highest standard discipline competition for college students in the field of territorial spatial planning of colleges and universities in China.

Following the theme of Optimizing spatial layout and improving spatial governance, the work explores the implementation of rural revitalization strategy enabled by spatial planning. Based on on-the-spot investigation, questionnaire survey, status analysis and planning research, proposed the ridge east village is based on existing resources, red culture as the background, set farming experience, urban and rural areas as a whole, the brigade of suburban fusion villages, the industrial development, spatial layout, infrastructure, rural governance content such as scientific planning. The planning results were praised by the judges and brother colleges.

The Department of Land Resources Management takes undergraduate guidance as the starting point, adheres to the concept of whole-staff education, whole-process education and all-round education (referred to as three-whole education), by guiding students to participate in subject research, science and technology competition and skills competition and other activities, enhances students' innovation and practical ability. In recent years, students of this major have made great achievements in the Challenge Cup National College Students Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition, Land Space Planning Skills Competition, Land National Conditions Survey Competition and Real Estate Appraisal Skills Competition.
